What private label sock manufacturing means
Private label means the factory disappears. We design with you or knit from your tech pack, and the finished product, sock, yarn label, hangtag, box, carries your brand alone. Your customer never sees our name; your competitors don't learn who makes your product from the product itself. That discretion runs both directions, which is why we sign NDAs as a matter of routine and don't reuse client designs.
It's a different business than buying wholesale stock. A wholesale sock exists before you arrive and is sold to whoever asks. A private label sock exists because you specified it, and the specification, documented in a tech pack, is what makes it repeatable: composition, colorways, construction, sizes, branding, packaging. When you reorder in a year, production runs from the same document, and pair five thousand matches pair fifty.
Private label vs white label
The terms get used interchangeably; the difference is where the design comes from.
- Private label is knit to your specification, exclusive to you. Full control over construction, materials, and look. This is the main road, and it's what everything on this page describes.
- White label starts from our pattern library, proven designs like stripes, dots, colorblocks, and geometric repeats, recolored to your palette and finished with your logo. It trades exclusivity for speed: the underlying pattern is already in production, so sampling is faster and the design risk is near zero.
Many brands run both: white label for a quick first collection or a promotional range, private label for the signature line. Either way the output is documented per SKU and reorders repeat exactly.
Every category, one supplier
Private label programs rarely stay one product, so the range matters. We knit and private label across the full board: sports and performance, running, football and team, compression, yoga and pilates grip, diabetic-style comfort, bamboo, fashion and dress, corporate and promotional, licensed merchandise, and more. These pages cover our most requested lines, not the limits of the floor; if your product isn't listed, ask. Each page details that category's construction options; the private label mechanics on this page apply to all of them. One relationship, one quality bar, one reorder process across the range.
The process, brief to reorder
- Brief. Send whatever you have: a tech pack, a sketch, a benchmark sock, or just the brand and the idea.
- Design proposal. A free visual proposal within 24 hours, with revisions until the direction is right. Starting from zero? Our product development service builds the spec with you.
- Sample. A physical sample knit to the spec, with your branding. Nothing goes to bulk without your sign-off on a sock you've held.
- Production. 4 to 6 weeks from approval, on our own 26-machine floor in Istanbul, with packaging produced in parallel so goods arrive shelf-ready.
- Reorder. The tech pack is the contract with the future: same yarns, same colors verified against dye-lot records, same fit.
MOQ and the math of a first range
The minimum is 50 pairs per design and size, which is deliberately low for true knit-to-spec production; the going rate in volume factories starts at 500 to 1,000. The counting is per SKU: two designs in three sizes is 300 pairs. That's the honest size of a first private label range, small enough to test sell-through, large enough to photograph, seed, and stock. The full logic, including why MOQs exist at all, is in our MOQ guide.
Why factory-direct private label matters
A meaningful share of "private label sock manufacturers" are trading companies placing your order with a factory you'll never know. That works until it doesn't: reorders quietly move to whichever factory has capacity, and your consistency moves with them. We're the factory. The machines, the tech pack, and the dye-lot records are all in one place, and you can verify that the way we recommend verifying any supplier, with the questions in our manufacturer vs supplier guide. Made in Türkiye also does quiet work for a private label: EU-adjacent logistics, no China-lead-time story to explain, and a label your customers read as quality.
