What's the difference between athletic socks and lifestyle socks in manufacturing?
Athletic socks use specific construction and yarn choices that lifestyle socks don't need: targeted cushioning where the foot strikes, moisture-wicking fibers (polyamide and polyester blends, sometimes bamboo viscose), mesh ventilation panels, and reinforced wear points at the toe, heel, and arch. The knitting pattern density also typically runs higher to support compression and shape retention through repeated wash cycles.
Can you produce compression socks with calibrated pressure gradients?
Yes. Compression socks are knit at a higher density than standard socks and can be calibrated to deliver pressure gradients - firmer at the ankle, easing toward the calf. We produce mild (15-20 mmHg) and moderate (20-30 mmHg) compression for sport and recovery. Medical-grade (above 30 mmHg, requiring regulated certification) is outside our current scope.
Do you offer recycled or sustainable yarn options?
Yes. We can source recycled polyester and recycled polyamide blends, bamboo viscose for naturally moisture-wicking socks, and organic-cotton yarn on request. Every material is specified by its exact composition (for example, 50% recycled polyester, 30% organic cotton) so your tech pack and labelling stay precise. Organic-fibre yarn is sourced and specified by composition rather than sold as OCS/GOTS-certified - and we'll match any specific yarn or sustainability spec you supply.
Can you develop multiple SKUs for different sports in one production run?
Yes. A single project can include multiple designs across multiple sock heights and constructions - for example, no-show running socks, crew-length training socks, and over-the-calf compression socks all branded for one sportswear line. Each SKU still needs to meet the 50-pair minimum per design and size, so a 4-SKU run starts at 200 total pairs.
